Greetings!

On January 18th, 2012, the Global Conference on Oceans, Climate and Security (GC '12) opens registration to the public. We would love the opportunity to display your logo and commitment on our website. The inaugural conference being held May 21-23, 2012, at UMass Boston and the John F Kennedy Presidential Library on beautiful Columbia Point in Boston, Massachusetts, is a strategic opportunity to associate CIOCS with proactively addressing an emerging and critical set of global issues.

The primary goal of the Global Conference is to address the impact and consequences of climate change on our ocean systems and the consequent influence this has on human security and national security threats. The Conference will also identify and prioritize the knowledge gaps in science and technology which impede understanding, response and adaptation to future threats, and generate a research agenda with human security policy and governance recommendations.

With the Earth's surface covered by over 70% water, understanding the connections between oceans, climate, and security will be a serious area of study for generations to come. By sponsoring GC '12, you would be demonstrating your recognition that these integrated issues must now be a real factor in business and government planning. GC '12's friendly atmosphere and workshop format, combined with our comprehensive agenda of cross-sector topics, should forge keen interest in both the subtext matter and those services offered by our sponsors and exhibitors.

Please visit the GC '12 Sponsor Invite Summary page to read more about the different levels of sponsorship opportunities and the benefits associated with each level. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Tina Stanton, Development Assistant, at 617-287-5926, or via email at info@gcocs.org.

Thank you for considering sponsoring this groundbreaking event.

Cordially,
